Although the name of this blog might give the impression it will be filled with positive and calming reading the reader may find this is not always the case. I make no apologies for this.

I believe experiencing the whole range of emotions, both those considered negative and those considered to be positive are a big part in what makes us human.
Acknowledging and expressing those feelings in an appropriate way makes us healthy humans.
You will find the gamut of emotions expressed in my works on this blog. I hope they encourage the reader to acknowledge their own feelings both positive and negative.

Blood red moon...

**pic from google images. I do not own this image and will remove if requested to do so.

Blood red moon

In the starless sky
Reflects my bloody tears
I feel so free as the tears run free
Feelings and emotions so long kept inside

Blood red moon
Scarlet energy abounds
Weary I sit acquiescently
As emotions flow within and without
My pain a bloody pool all around

Blood red moon
Shining down on me
Crimson colour of life unfolds
I watch as the past flows a river of red
Leaving the past behind and venturing forth brave and bold

Mother where are you? ...

Mother where are you?

Mother where are you?
Why did you leave me so?
I’ll never understand
Why you had to go
Though grown I still
Shed angry tears
Where were you?
Through my growing years
I was a child and I needed you
To calm my childish fears
Forgiveness comes easily
From my loving heart
But I’ll never forget
You left us
It left a permanent wound
And deeply scarred our hearts

If only we would listen...

** photograph found online. No credit given. If the owner of this photograph would like it removed from my blog please email and I will do so.

Another piece from my past. A reflection on what we might learn if we just listened to the universe with open hearts and minds.

If only we would listen

The mantle of power is passed

Through the ages
A burden to some
A responsibility to bear
Marching through the journey of life
Dispensing knowledge and hope
Teaching others to care

Visions of all that’s been
And all that’s yet to come
The wisdom of our ancestors
Shared with zest and zeal
To any and all who open their hearts
Those who want to be real

Listen to the whispering winds
Echoes from the oceans
Power comes from many paths
Oft seldom understood
Destiny weaves a tangled web
Of fine and sticky threads
There is much to learn
If only we’d listen when we should
